Copy WM5 Ring Tones.mscr (GPL)

Cellphones based on Windows Mobile 5 (WM5) can use WAV and WMA sound files as ring tones. In fact, there are quite a few ring tones in the "\Windows\" directly. But they are intermingled with tons of other files. So if you want to copy the ring tones from your old WM5 phone to your new WM6 phone, you'd have a difficult time finding them one at a time.

However, I've written this MortScript program to easily copy all of the WAV and WMA files from the "\Windows\" directory onto your storage card. After executing this program, the "\Storage Card\Rings" directory will be created and all of the audio files will be copied there.

I have used this script successfully on my Verizon XV6700 when I upgraded to the Verizon XV6900. It's excellent for preserving your old ring tones on your new phone. Don't know where to put the ring tones? Take a look at my "Using custom ring tones on the Verizon XV6700" article.

"Copy WM5 Ring Tones.mscr" requires the free MortScript interpreter to execute. So in order to use this script, you'll have to download and install MortScript on your Windows Mobile device, if you haven't already done so.
