"RenameMacTerminalTab.sh" is a Bourne shell script that lets you rename the tabs on the Mac OS X Terminal program. Normally, the Apple Terminal does not allow you to rename tabs. Instead, it renames the tabs based on the name of the executable you run. So this script tricks it by renaming and executing an X Window executable in the background.
"RenameMacTerminalTab.sh" takes advantage of the the following script, which is also available on this site. So to use this script, you will need to download the following script, if you don't already have it.
"RenameMacTerminalTab.sh" is distributed as executable source code under the GNU General Public License. Please see the license agreement elsewhere on this site.
