Uppercase First Letter of Each Word.bash (GPL)

"Uppercase First Letter of Each Word.bash" is a Bash shell script that converts the first letter of each word in a string to uppercase. You can either pass in the string via command-line parameter or pass in a list of them through standard input (stdio).

"Uppercase First Letter of Each Word.bash" is distributed as executable source code under the GNU General Public License. Please see the license agreement elsewhere on this site.

Usage

  Usage:   "Uppercase First Letter of Each Word.bash" "string"

Use a '-' in place of the string to read
from standard input (pipe).

Examples

  $ "Uppercase First Letter of Each Word.bash" "hello world"
Hello World

$ "Uppercase First Letter of Each Word.bash" "HELLO WORLD"
HELLO WORLD

$ echo "hellO worlD" | "Uppercase First Letter of Each Word.bash" -
HellO WorlD
