GenIconXP Fails to Register ImageMagickObject.dllToday, I needed a Windows icon maker to generate some icon files from existing images. So I found GenIconXP from the SourceForge archive. "GenIconXP is an icon utility for Windows. It allows one to convert any image format to a windows multi-resolution icon file (.ICO)." That sounds just like what I needed. But during installation, I got a bad error message as shown in the screen shot below: Unable to register the DLL/OCX: LoadLibrary failed; code 1001. Click Retry to try again, Ignore to proceed anyway (not recommdned), or Abort to cancel installation. I tried to ignore the problem. GenIconXP run fine. But when I tried to "Load Image...", I got a message that says, "Class not registered." So it looks like I'm dead in the water . . . for now. Chieh Cheng Since GenIconXP just wanted the ImageMagick dynamic link library, I decided to try and install the ImageMagick library myself. I got the latest Windows 8-bit version off the ImageMagick web site (see "Related Links" below) and installed it. It has its own host of installation troubles that I ignored. But the problems were related to TIFF images, so it should effect what we are doing here. After installation, I ran GenIconXP again. This time it is able to "Load Image...", but got lost looking for the temporary file that it generates (see screen shot below). Chieh Cheng
