mac g4 usb wifi tl wn321g not working help

Hello there,
i have an old mac g4 with a burnt wifi card so i bought a usb antenna antena to revive it.
With a bit a googeling i found out that the tplink wn321g worked because of its ralink chipset.
Great... i found the driver install it the usb is recongnised, so far so good.
The only problem is i ca t connect to internet it seems that the usb device is not used by the mac when i connect to the internet.
Since i have very little knowledge in this fields i ask here for help.

Are you using the Ralink wireless utility with it? In that utility, make sure that radio is on and that you can see the wireless networks. After you see the networks in that utility, make sure the utility indicates that you are connected to one of the wireless network it detects.

If you can get this far, the next step is to play with the network locations in Mac OS X.
