Digits.sh (GPL)

Digits.sh is a Bourne Shell script that helps your custom shell scripts determine how many digits is supplied in the argument. When a valid number is entered on the command-line, this script will calculate the number of digits and output the result.

This shell script currently only works with discrete numbers as I am unsure what is the definition of the digits relative to a floating point number. Once I have that figured out, I will update this script accordingly. Feel free to let me know.

Digits.sh takes advantage of the IsDiscreteNumber.sh (GPL) Bourne shell script, which is also available on this site. So to use this Digits.sh script, you will need to download the IsDiscreteNumber.sh script if you don't already have it.

Digits.sh is distributed as executable source code under the GNU General Public License. Please see the license agreement elsewhere on this site.
