Day 1

When the party starts down the mountain path, they will notice signs along the way. All of the signs are signed with "S.B." One of them writes, "The Gensu seeds are ours. Turn back now before you perish." If anyone succeeds the Area Knowledge skill check, he/she will guess that S.B. stands for Side-Show Bandits. Some of the signs have been beaten up and tossed to the side, but they are all easy to spot and unhidden. It's obvious from these signs that others have already started up the mountain.

Everyday that the party travels below six thousand feet in altitude, roll (1D10) once on the following animal encounter chart. The dice notation behind the animal name is the number of animals encountered.

 1-2 Bear   (1D2)
 3-4 Cougar (1D4)
 5-6 Lion   (1D2)
 7-8 Tiger  (1D6)
9-10 None

Every night, Hagen will offer to build a fire and cook for the party, if the party can gather the woods and provide the rations (except when the party stays at an inn).
