Game Master

Referee of the game. Also the storyteller. And the person that runs the game.

GM

Abbreviation for Game Master. See Game Master.

Non-Player Character

An in-game character played by the game master rather than by the players.

NPC

Abbreviation for Non-Player Character. See Non-Player Character.

Player Character

An in-game character played by a player.

PC

Abbreviation for Player Character. See Player Character.
